Eldest son of the diplomat Đinh Nho Liêm (17th generation), born in 1951 in Thanh Hóa. Doctorate (1979) then Doctor of Science (1985) from Moscow's Lomonosov University, principal researcher at the Information Technology Institute of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with more than 80 papers. Tạ Quang Bửu Prize 2015 for his work on hyperbolic-cross approximation, defeating the “curse of dimensionality”.
