18th century. Sixth son of Đinh Nho Công and younger brother of Đinh Nho Hoàn. Head of the regional examination, accomplished in letters and in arms, marquis of Hương Nghĩa. He settled at Thanh Liên, in Nghệ An, and there founded a branch of the lineage that survives today.

Letters and arms
One conference paper introduces him in a sentence: younger brother of the Hoàng giáp Đinh Nho Hoàn, received giải nguyên — first at the regional session — a man accomplished in letters as in arms, and of an uncompromising temper.
Lord Trịnh Doanh appointed him Đốc lĩnh of Nghệ An, garrisoned at Kỳ Hoa, and he received the title Hương Nghĩa hầu, marquis of Hương Nghĩa.
The site's figure entries, drawing on Đinh Tú Anh (2023) and the dissertation of Nguyễn Văn Sô (Vinh University, 2007), further credit him with the office of tri huyện of La Sơn, then that of tổng binh.

The Thanh Liên branch
He left Hương Sơn to settle in the village of Thanh Liên — today Thanh Tiên commune, Thanh Chương district, Nghệ An province — and there founded a cadet branch of the Đinh clan of Hương Sơn.
That branch is no footnote: from it descends, in the eleventh generation, the poet Đinh Nhật Thận, whose “Lament of an autumn night in a foreign land” the site's library holds. The Genealogy page gives it a chapter of its own.
Of the six sons of Đinh Nho Công, four stand at the head of the lineage's four branches; Đinh Nho Côn is one of them.

The cult
He is honoured as a phúc thần at đền Gôi Vị, with his father, his brother and his sister-in-law. The paper that enumerates the four names him explicitly among them.
This is the particularity the conference underlines: not four scattered canonisations, but a single household — a father, two of his sons, and the wife of one of them — gathered in one temple.
