A mandarin under the Lê, on the anti-Mạc side. A refugee in Hương Sơn, he founded the lineage there. He died at 93; his giỗ, on the 9th day of the 1st lunar month, is the clan's great annual gathering. His tomb plaque names him “Sơ Tổ Đinh Phúc Diên, Tả Hiệu Điểm, Marquis Công Tây”: it settles the doubt this entry carried, since a list in the 2023 book seemed to give the marquisate to his brother Phúc Tiên.
